Sagittarius full moon: the YES/NO decision making ceremony

Written on 05/29/2025

This week, under the Sagittarius full moon, there could be some important decisions to make. This YES/NO ceremony can help you to listen to your intuition as you do so.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Make the list

Grab your journal. Light your candle (we love the Hunter’s Moon candle from the June Ivory Gloss box). And start here:

– What are you saying yes to that feels nourishing and expansive?
– What are you saying yes to that’s actually draining you?

Be brutally honest. Then flip it:

– Where is your no protecting your peace?
– Where are you holding back with a no that’s really fear in disguise?

Write it all down. Seeing it clearly helps you feel your own power. You’ll start to notice: your life is shaped by these small, everyday agreements.

Once you’ve written your YES and NO on their separate pages, read them aloud. Not in your head. Out loud. Like you're casting a spell or telling a friend who already knows the truth.

Start with the YES. Feel how it lands in your body. Notice where your shoulders are. Is there a lift in your chest, a quiet hum of relief, a flicker of excitement beneath the nerves? Then read the NO. Notice the drop, the pinch, or maybe the unexpected lightness.

Your body has a way of knowing before your mind catches up. That lump in your throat?  Those aren’t random, they’re data.

If something feels off, you haven’t failed. You’ve just gotten closer to what’s real. Tear it up and try again. This isn’t theatre. You’re not trying to impress anyone. The goal isn’t to be bold or brave or productive. The goal is to be honest.

This step is where the clarity lives, not in the writing, but in the resonance. When you say it aloud, and your nervous system either calms or flinches, you’ll know. That’s the echo. Listen to it.

Make a sacred decision jar

Write the decision you’re trying to make on a small piece of paper. Pop it in a bowl or jar with a crystal (sodalite, clear quartz, something that helps you tune in) and a little salt.

Each morning, hold the jar. Feel the weight of it. Ask: “What does my emotional truth say today?” No need to force an answer. Just notice what comes up. Is there calm or chaos? A soft yes or a nervous maybe?

Leave the paper there until the answer feels steady in your chest. A quiet yes, not a performative one. Not a pressured one. A yes that comes from you, your gut, your rhythm, your deeper knowing. And when that yes arrives? That’s your sign to act.

Act it out – just a little

You don’t need to blow up your life tonight. You don’t even need a five-step plan. What you do need is proof to your body that this decision means something. That this wasn’t just a journaling exercise, it was a shift.

So take one small step that honours your YES. Book the call. Put your name down. Choose the bolder version of the next thing on your list, even if it’s tiny.

And give your NO some backup, too. Don’t just burn the paper, create a boundary. Decline the offer. Leave the group chat. Say no with your full chest, or at least your full calendar.

These don’t have to be big moves. In fact, the quieter the action, the more powerful it can be. A shift in energy. A new default. A moment where you act like your decision already belongs to you.

The magic of the ritual isn’t just in the writing or the burning. It’s in the follow-through. In the way your spine straightens when your actions start matching your truth. That’s when the spell really starts to work.

Take a social media break!

Just for 24 hours. Give your nervous system a breather. Step away from the scroll so you can hear yourself think. The truth gets louder when you’re not performing or comparing.

Let go of something small, but real

Choose one thing you’re ready to release. A habit. An expectation. That annoying urge to explain yourself to people who don’t get it. Light your candle. Let it go without a performance. Just a quiet, unapologetic goodbye.

Make your declaration

Now that you’ve cleared space, name what you’re calling in. It doesn’t need to be shouted from the rooftops (unless that feels fun). Whisper it. Write it down. Own it. Not because it’s trendy, but because it’s true.

Trust your gut

With Saturn and Neptune in Aries, there’s pressure to decide. You might feel like something big is coming (hint: it is). But the way forward isn’t through spiralling or guessing. It’s through grounded intuition. Through that quiet knowing you keep circling back to.
