Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is kind of like a form of emotional acupuncture and a great way to shift emotional energies that are trapped within the physical body. It might sound strange, but keep an open mind, because if anything it helps you to set an intention and get rid of a negative belief once and for all (it totally does shift it on a physical level though, you'll see!)
First you pinpoint the negative belief or emotion that is preventing you from moving forwards. I’m sure you know the one that I mean, but if not, it could be something like, ‘I’m not worthy,’ or ‘I’m fearful of abandonment’. You can go a step further by pinpointing who may have caused that belief and focus on forgiveness.
When you are ready to begin, think of the worst possible outcome or the most painful experience to do with the emotion you want to release, and repeat it, out loud.
Now, take the first two fingers of your left hand and tap, repeatedly, in the area between the inner left eyebrow and the top of the nose (1) all the while describing in great detail your biggest sorrows followed by the phrase 'but it's OK, because I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway."
