LoA visualisation for the Leo new moon solar eclipse, 12th August, 2026

Written on 07/29/2026

Every so often we reach a point where carrying on exactly as we are starts requiring more effort than changing. Sitting close to the south node, this week's Leo solar eclipse wants a quiet word about what you're still carrying around for absolutely no good reason.

This could be a goal you've outgrown but keep pursuing because you've already told everyone about it. A version of yourself you've become known for but secretly can't be bothered maintaining anymore. Or that exhausting habit of introducing yourself with a story that's been out of date for about ten years.

Solar eclipses don't usually march in, throw everything upside down and disappear again. They're more like that one friend who points out something you've somehow managed not to notice, and once they've said it, you can't unsee it.

The good news is that this eclipse is so pergectly aspected, it simply can't leave you standing in the gap. Almost as quickly as it asks you to let go, it starts pointing you towards what comes next. And you are going to love this next chapter.

Adding to this change of heart, Mars slips into Cancer and you may notice your instincts changing before your plans do. What felt right six months ago simply... doesn't anymore.

Mercury is edging closer to Jupiter in Leo, filling the month with bigger conversations, creative ideas and the sort of inspiration that usually turns up while you're making a cup of tea rather than staring aggressively at a blank notebook.

One of my favourite things about this eclipse is how connected everything feels. Venus in Libra completes a grand air trine with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, but it doesn't stop there. She almost stitches the whole fire and air half of the chart together, creating an extraordinary web of ideas, creativity and momentum.

It's almost as though the universe is joining the dots for you this month. The invitation you nearly decline, the conversation you weren't expecting to have or the idea that arrives completely out of the blue could end up becoming far more significant than it first appears.

Ivory Gloss Crystal – Citrine

Warm, golden and on everyone's manifesting wish list, citrine aligns with confidence, creativity and abundance. During this eclipse, though, it's less about becoming more confident and more about recognising the confidence, talents and qualities that have been sitting there all along.

We're often brilliant at spotting other people's gifts. We notice their creativity, admire their confidence and celebrate their achievements without thinking twice. Then somebody asks us what we actually like about ourselves and suddenly... we've got absolutely nothing.

Instead of chasing another self improvement project, citrine asks you to appreciate the parts of yourself you've become so familiar with that you've stopped noticing them altogether.

Keep your Citrine close throughout eclipse season as a reminder to look at yourself with the same generosity you naturally offer everyone else. You don't need to become somebody new. You simply need to notice what's already been there all along.

The golden gallery ritual & guided visualisation

Before you begin, hold your Citrine for a few quiet moments and think about the compliments you always laugh off. The things people thank you for. The qualities you describe as "nothing really" or "I just do that."
